Captain Charles Hunter: Lost in a Sea of His Own Hair

An elegy to native Newporter Captain Charles Hunter, who was lost at sea in 1873 and whose 200th birthday occurred during the final weeks of the exhibition. At the far end of the gallery are two 18th century globes, one terrestrial and one celestial.
